STARS Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or SMT, a Thai electronic components manufacturer and assembler, continues to strengthen its environmental standards by receiving the Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification. This recognition reflects the company’s strong commitment to systematically managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, awarded by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization).
Nunticha Chaikul M.D., Vice Chairman of Executive Committee and Chairman of the Sustainable Development Committee, represented the company in receiving the certificate from Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, Chairman of the Board of Directors, TGO (Public Organization). The ceremony took place at the Conference Hall of the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ), Chaeng Watthana Road, on April 1, 2026. This milestone marks another significant step for SMT in aligning its business operations with sustainable development principles.
The Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification assesses and reports an organization’s total greenhouse gas emissions from its operations. SMT has measured its emissions across all three scopes and has designated 2024 as its baseline year. This enables the company to establish clear reduction targets, alongside implementing energy-saving initiatives and long-term renewable energy planning.
This achievement reflects SMT’s vision under its Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP): “Unleashing Thai Innovation. Transforming Smarter Humanity.” The company is committed to leveraging Thai innovation to create a positive impact on humanity by advancing technology in parallel with environmental, social, and stakeholder responsibility. Driving toward becoming a leading electronics manufacturer with sustainable growth.
