Stars Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SMT), a provider of electronic manufacturing and assembly services, led by Mr.Prompong Chaikul, Chief Executive Officer, welcomed Lieutenant General Kom Viriyavejakul, Director General of the Defense Science and Technology Department, Mr. Supakit Boonsiri, Director of the Office of Industrial Economics, along with representatives from the Defense Technology Institute (DTI) under the Ministry of Defence.
The visit aimed to provide an overview of SMT’s manufacturing operations and to exchange perspectives on potential collaboration between the public and industrial sectors to promote local innovation in support of national security missions.
During the visit, the company presented its manufacturing technologies and capabilities, covering OSAT services, optics technology, printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and box build solution. Also shared knowledge to help strengthen domestic industrial capabilities and foster the continued development of Thailand’s innovation ecosystem.
